Shetland Sheepdogs have a beautiful tricolor coat and as a member of the Herding Group. Shelties originated in the Shetland Islands off the coast of Scotland. A working dog, Shetland sheepdogs are in the top 10 of 130 most intelligent dog breeds tested . The Sheltie’s intelligence will alert you of a stranger at the door but will not show aggression. Great with children, the Shetland Sheepdog, is loyal and very affectionate toward family members.
